Training Week

We just finished up with day 1 of training and I am already getting excited about everything. The bible study is going to be great. It talks about Moses and him answering God's call to be the man that he was born to be. I'm still nervous about teaching a bible study but I know that everything will work out fine. The recreation games for day 1 are going to be great and my lines for my acting are coming along at a quick pace now that my partner and I have finally had time to run over them more than once. The only thing that I am still extremely worried about is getting the staging and worship center together because we can't get  into our worship center till the night before camp.

I want to thank everyone for the prayers and I just ask to continue to pray for me and the rest of my staff as we continue to train and get comfortable with everything that we will be doing during camp.

More to come in the future.

It's Time

It is the eve of my departure for Centrifuge 2009 and I sit here pondering if I am really ready for this adventure. In my own mind, I am not ready. Physically, spiritually, mentally not ready. I know that God has had His hand all over this and I know that everything will be alright, but I still wonder. I know that God is going to do amazing things this summer and He is going to show me so much about myself, and about Him, and about the world and I am excited about that. In one of the new "Adventure Now" videos, Walt is told to keep moving forward no matter what comes at him and that is what I must do as well. When we are faced with a thousand mile trip in 2 days, we just have to keep moving forward. When I get that one kid who is going to test my spiritual knowledge to the line I can't back down I have to keep pushing forward to show him/her that there is a God that loves him/her no matter what. When I am faced with every technology gremlin that is in existence I can't freak out, I just take a deep breath and keep moving forward to defeat them and fix the things that they break. No matter what happens I just have to keep my head high and KEEP MOVING FORWARD. Anyone who reads this please please please pray for myself and the other 8 staffers that will be right beside me through the entire summer facing the same things that I face. And pass the word along as well because the more people we have praying for us, the easier it will be on us all.

I will try to update my blog as often as possible to keep everyone up to date on what all God is doing among us. Until next time!!
